A rare quality crystal in an unusual category of opal types only found in Andamooka South Australia.
Collector’s item. High quality crystal opal. Parent rock is quartzite. They usually have cracks because quartzite has a different expansion / contraction rate than opal. The crack will not develop any further. The crystal opal is very stable. Mined in the 1970’s.
Dimensions: 34.2 X 22.2 X 7.7MM – Approximate due the shape of the opal.
